Howdy friends! I figured I’d try a new greeting today…do you think it fits?
Today’s question from the #stayhomereadingrush is, what is my favorite feel good book? This is such an interesting question, because it can be so different from person to person. A lot of romance books qualify in this category for me, but ultimately I had to go for a middle grade fantasy.
Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend is so much fun! This book centers around a young girl who is cursed to die. The story picks up when a mysterious man comes to her home and takes her away, into an alternate universe. Now she is tasked with joining a magical society, while convincing the inhabitants that she is from their world. All the while, her curse is catching up to her, and an evil force is revealed.
There are three books so far in this series, and I’ve adored the first two (the third book is slotted to release August 2020). This book definitely does not get the recognition or the hype it deserves. This could be the next generation’s Harry Potter, or Percy Jackson. I’m really excited to see where this series goes, and to share this incredible story with you!
