Author Shout Out! #stayhomereadingrush

Friends! This is it. The last question in the #stayhomereadingrush tag! What author do I want to shout out during this quarantine?

This is an author I recently discovered. I absolutely loved her book, and after finding her on instagram, I’m realizing how much I like her as a person too!

That person is Brigid Kemmerer! Author of A Curse So Dark and Lonely!

Brigid (is it okay if I call her Brigid for the purposes of this post?) is an author I follow on instagram, and who has been incredibly active on that social platform since the quarantine. She has continued to do instagram live videos, in place of her live book tour (this is my assumption based off of her instagram posts). I admire that, although she can’t be with her fans, she and other authors are still taking the time to host Q&A’s online.

Not only is Brigid the author of one of my new favorite books, but she also does crossfit! It has been so cool, and such a rare glimpse into her life, to watch her posts about her struggles and success in the sport. As a person who also does crossfit, it was so cool to see Brigid dedicate A Curse So Dark and Lonely to her crossfit gym, Stone Forge Crossfit.

I really excited to dive into the rest of the Cursebreakers series, as well as trying some of Brigid’s back list titles.

Who is an author you think I should know more about? Let me know in the comments below!
