Before I got laid off, I decided I wanted to keep myself busy over the summer break. I got the idea to create bracelets inspired by books! I spent a month researching supplies, and brainstorming designs, and then another month creating prototypes of each design.
I created a shop on Etsy called Dreaming of Stars Co. This name has a lot of significance for me, from the Night Court in the ACOTAR series, to biblical references that guide me through some of my toughest days.
I opened my shop on June 20, 2020 at 2pm (is there a numerical version of alliteration? because that’s what I was going for). It has been so exciting to see the reaction from friends and family, and to know that people actually like what I’ve created!
The three books that inspired some of my designs include Beach Read by Emily Henry, Dark Shores by Danielle L. Jensen, Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson. I also created stand alone designs for teachers, librarians, and beach lovers!
I’m currently only shipping to the U.S. until I get the hang of this online marketplace. I hope you take a few minutes to check out my designs, and let me know in the comments which one is your favorite!
